HOW DO I...
OBTAIN TELEPHONE ADVICE?

If you need to speak to a doctor or nurse during the day, the receptionist will take the details and the doctor or nurse will phone you at the end of their surgery.

HOW DO I...
MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

We run a full appointment system. In order to assess the urgency of your request and to see the most appropriate clinician, the receptionist may sometimes ask for a few details. Please be as helpful as you can. Appointments may be made by telephoning 024 7673 3020 or by calling at the surgery.

Routine appointments

Routine appointments may be made up to one month in advance. If you feel that you have a medical problem that is urgent, you will always be seen by a clinician on that day. We cannot guarantee you will be seen by your preferred doctor.
The practice offers a range of appointment times to patients Monday to Friday (five mornings and four afternoons).

Emergencies
If you are confronted by a serious problem such as acute chest pain or severe bleeding, call an ambulance (tel 999) before calling the surgery.

Cancelling Your Appointment

Please let us know if you cannot keep an appointment. Missed appointments prevent us from offering those appointments to other patients.

HOW DO I...
OBTAIN A HOME VISIT?

Unfortunately we can only do home visits within our practice area (see Practice Boundary). Patients staying at residential/nursing homes outside the practice area will need to register with a local doctor covering that area. This can be either temporary or on a longer-term basis if a long stay is anticipated. If you feel that a home visit is necessary, the doctor will want to speak to you on the telephone to gather more details and assess the urgency. Please remember that several patients can be seen at the surgery in the time that it takes to do a home visit.

HOW DO I...
OBTAIN TEST RESULTS

Pathology Tests

Many investigations can be carried out at the surgery. This means that you do not have to travel to hospital to have these performed. We have a phlebotomy service on Monday morning 10.00am - 12 noon and Tuesday afternoon 1.30 - 3.30pm. You will be informed when the test results are likely to be ready.

Please make all requests for results after 4.00pm and state the date when the test was performed.
