PRACTICE PHILOSOPHY
The
World Health Organisation defines health as:
'A state of
complete physical, psychological and social well-being.'
Treatment
of symptoms without discovering what underlies them is not a cure.
Here, we try to treat the whole person, not just the affected part.
We also try to keep people's expectations of drug therapy
on a realistic level. We do not avoid drugs, but only use them when
it is clear that they will influence the course of the illness.
